Cuba s inclusion in US terrorist list rejected in Uruguay

Cuba s inclusion in US terrorist list rejected in Uruguay Cuba s inclusion in US terrorist list rejected in Uruguay Montevideo, Jan 17 (Prensa Latina) The Network in Defense of Humanity (Reddhu) - Uruguay Chapter rejected vigorously the inclusion of Cuba in the United States list of State Sponsors of Terrorism. The Network issued a statement pointing at the outgoing administration of US President Donald Trump and the US State Department as the main instigators of one of the most recent acts of aggression against Cuba. Cuba has shown reliable signs of promoting peace and solidarity over the last 60 years, Reddhu stressed, and exemplified this with the recent dispatch of the Henry Reeve International Medical Brigades to more than 40 countries to support those most in need in times of natural catastrophes, epidemics and pandemics.

Dlamini-Zuma set to file response to vaccine challenge by Wednesday

Image: GCIS AfriForum and Solidarity say co-operative governance & traditional affairs minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has until Wednesday to explain the government’s monopolistic rollout plan for Covid-19 vaccines. The two organisations have taken legal action against Dlamini-Zuma and health minister Zweli Mkhizwe to seek clarity on whether the private sector would have access to Covid-19 vaccines. “The government has appropriated the right to be the sole procurer of vaccines in SA,” said Connie Mulder, head of the Solidarity research institute. “It is unlikely that the government would be able to come up with the expertise or capacity required to roll out a vaccine programme of this magnitude. By restricting procurement, the government is delaying the process,” Mulder said.
